Launch Party – The Feminist Toilet

Yep. The Feminist Toilet. This event is going to be special – they’ll be poetry, ukulele, art, music, and even a lecture by The Loo Lady on Gender and the toilet. I’m not just saying this because it is also my birthday party… It’s free! Donations will be collected to support Toilet Twinning, a charity that builds toilets in developing countries and provides sanitation education.

Lecture – Jodi Dean ‘Capitalism is the end of the world’

Jodi Dean, Professor of Political Science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and author of numerous books including, The Communist Horizon and Crowds and Party, will be giving a free lecture titled ‘Capitalism is the end of the world’ for the Mark Fisher Memorial Lecture 2019.

Outside the Tate Modern (and probably inside too), they’ll be an eclectic mix of art, music, film, drop-in workshops, pop-up talks and street food. With a talk by Guerilla Girls and a poetry ready by Bridget Minamore (I saw her at Verve- she’s amazing!), this night’s going to be too much free fun.
