Happy New Year! Can you believe that it’s 2019? I cannot. This year feels big. Time to do something different, try out a new hobby, or go on an adventure. I know that I’m definitely feeling the adventure vibes. Here’s a few FREE events in London that can turn into adventures for January 2019.
January 12, 2019
Queen Adelaide, Cambridge Heath
Yep. The Feminist Toilet. This event is going to be special – they’ll be poetry, ukulele, art, music, and even a lecture by The Loo Lady on Gender and the toilet. I’m not just saying this because it is also my birthday party… It’s free! Donations will be collected to support Toilet Twinning, a charity that builds toilets in developing countries and provides sanitation education.
RSVP is greatly appreciated.
January 16, 2019
7pm to 11pm
The Monarch, Camden
I’ve written about them before – Fiende Fatale. They are having a free launch party for their new single “2020 Vision.” They’ll be supported by
Meet The Fishermen and Yawwn! If you’ve ever wanted to discover the indie rock music scene in London – this event will give you a peak into the rabbit hole.
RSVP on FB.

Outside the Tate Modern (and probably inside too), they’ll be an eclectic mix of art, music, film, drop-in workshops, pop-up talks and street food. With a talk by Guerilla Girls and a poetry ready by Bridget Minamore (I saw her at Verve- she’s amazing!), this night’s going to be too much free fun.
