Bad Bitches

I’ve started a list of people I define as “Bad Bitches”. This list is far from over, complete, or finite – but is constantly growing. If you have any suggestions – please contact me at seeliterarypixie@gmail.com.

To define the term ‘bad bitch’ – must first break it down into its parts. The Oxford Dictionary defines ‘bitch’ as – “A person who is completely subservient to another” as well as “a spiteful or unpleasant woman” or “a female dog, wolf, fox, or otter”. I am referring to all of these three meanings when I glorify ‘bitch’. ‘Bad’ has wayyy too many uses, so I’ve selected ” not able to do a particular thing well” and “failing to conform to standards of moral virtue or acceptable conduct.”

Thus my definition of ‘Bad Bitch’

(Noun) A person who is not good at being completely subservient to another, often resulting in nonconformity of societal values and challenging of acceptable conduct.

Literary Pixie

To me, being a ‘bad bitch’ is an amazing achievement, and I revere all those bold enough to challenge society in this way. I aspire to do the same.
